the candle would only flicker
hesitating
the light was feeble
the combustion half-assed
the fumes nasty
so i grabbed that candle
and shook it,
“why won't you burn!?”
and it went out.

Help

The title should have been “Nalukataq's Love Life”.
HA! I do a lot of that candle shaking in my life—–just can't seem to get it in my thick head that I am not in charge of all candles. So, sweet friend, I guess we'll just sit in the dark together for awhile longer. Love.
I really loved this poem, Axiom! So few words…full of so much meaning!
